We have used our screen on a daily basis for seven months and it still looks brand new! The microwave screen has several great advantages already mentioned in previous reviews, but the advantage I appreciate most is that my microwave has a reheat function that seems to measures the steam/heat from the food to determine length of the reheat cycle. With this open mesh screen, I have had less overcooked, tough food incidents as well as no spatter!
